The much-loved Handu Advent Calendar is back!
And as always, it’s here while it lasts! People start asking about this one well before Christmas, so if you’ve been waiting for it, don’t leave it too late.
The Handu Mini Advent Calendar contains four little surprise packages to make December even more fun.
You’ll get a 20 g mini skein in each of the first three packages, tucked away in its own little calendar bag, and a 40 g skein in the final one. The last package is extra generous, so you’ll have enough yarn for a pair of socks even if you’re only getting the Mini Calendar.
And what’s inside? Think luxurious fibres, beautiful colours and plenty of yarny goodness. The surprises will be a mix of gorgeous fingering-weight sock yarns — although, of course, they’re just as happy becoming something other than socks.
Every skein is hand-dyed by Ilu, and this year’s colour palette has been designed to play nicely together. Expect mostly lovely semisolids and calm, subtle multicolours — nothing too wild, just colours you’ll want to keep knitting with.
A little extra tip: if you’re getting both of the 2026 Advent Calendars, they’re designed to work together. The Mini Calendar skeins make lovely contrasting heels, cuffs and other little details alongside the yarns from the main Advent Calendar. The Mini Calendar also uses the same yarn bases as the main calendar.
The surprises can be opened on December 6, 13, 20 and 24.
There’s also a little something extra waiting in the Christmas Eve package: a small, handmade knitting-related treat to make the final surprise feel extra special.
All calendars will arrive by the end of November. Shipping within Finland is included in the price.
